  Never Sleep Again

Today's Prompt is:

If you could be given the option to never sleep and also never be tired, would you take it if it meant you'd also never dream again?

This has got to be one of the hardest questions for a person who suffers from insomnia. I rarely sleep as it is and I am lucky enough to still be able to function perfectly well with only 2 to 4 hours of sleep a night. Sure there are days I feel I need to take speed in order to keep my eyes open or my eyes sting from the lack of sleep but those days are few and far between.  Due to insomnia  (at least I think that's it) I don't dream often. I guess if you don't sleep you can't dream...

So would I take this option? Considering I already don't sleep much and rarely dream...and oddly enough the dreams I do have always end up coming true (sort of like a premonition) I guess I'm leaning towards taking  someone up on this offer. Imagine how much more things I could get done in a day? If I wasn't sleeping, I couldn't over sleep and start my day off on the wrong foot because I am now running late and still trying to get D ready for school!

I'd be all caught up on my tv shows and reading in short amount of time. I'd have more time (and energy) to cook, clean, read, blog, exercise, bake, etc.

I'm only seeing positive aspects to this, nothing bad so far. Would the lack of sleep interfere with my creativity? I know that the prompt says we wouldn't be tired but whatever creative? What about alert? Quick? Witty? How is my mood? If I don't get at least 3 hours of sleep you can just call me Mega Bitch...

I think there are a lot of factor to consider and although I want to wave a magic wand and make this happen I can't even begin to tell you how great I feel at the end of the day (early morning) when I go to my room, take off my clothes and get in my pjs, hop onto my cool side of the bed and pull up the cool covers and slowly let my brain go.  I don't think I could give up that luxury for anything.... when you have a high stress day, a busy day, a day of running like a chicken with your head cut off.....those few minutes are the best!

Letter #5: A Letter to My Dreams

Today’s letter is being posted late in the day. I know. I’m so sorry. If you don’t have any kids you will quickly learn they take a lot more of your time than you thought they would. Seriously. D is crawling and moving quicker than I thought she would and is 100% hands on!
Moving On, the letter…

Dear Dreams,
Oh my. It’s been a long time since I’ve even thought of you. I never thought that you guys would be on the backburner. Growing up I was sure that you were the front and center. Everything was about YOU! But then something happened. Something changed. It was me. I thought I was changing and leaving you behind but then the funniest thing happened…YOU also changed.
Little did I know that the both of us would change together.  Like the Greeks say, “san kolo kai vraki” (like underwear and an ass). One of us would change and the other would accommodate the change. It wasn’t so much a change as it was a shift. Hey, at least we have the best partnership.
I know that I haven’t really paid much attention to you lately but you need to understand that in order for everything between you and me to work out I need a bit of time. I have other things right now that sort of take priority but once everything goes back to normal (or as normal as it can get) then you and I will be right back on track.
Seriously, don’t think I’ve forgotten about you. I’m always thinking of you and making little modifications. Life will be good Dreams, that is one promise I intend to keep. You and I will go very far in life. You and I will be extremely successful. You and I….together this is nothing that the two of us can’t accomplish…and hey, we already got the ball rolling didn’t we?

XOXO –

Jenny

To sell or not to sell

So my mom just called me because she just picked up my wedding dress from the dry cleaners. (Yes I know its been there almost a year, I don't plan on wearing it again so I wasn't in any rush to pick it up). But here is my thing, my mom suggested that I sell it.

It's a beautiful wedding dress with a lot of pretty details but I don't think I could sell it. I mean, yes I know I won't be wearing it again but the thought of just selling it to someone freaks me out a bit. Right now its in a huge storage box all air sealed and protected from the elements that could possibly hurt it at my moms house. I'm going to pick it up tonight and most likey shove it in my attic or one of my closets and never look at it again.

I guess I just have a real emotional attachment to my dress. It was the first dress I tried on (but I must have tried on 100 that day just to make sure I really did love my first choice) and its from the happiest day in my life. I feel bad that its just stored up in a box that no one will get to see but I don't know if I like the idea of someone else wearing my wedding dress. My parents paid really good money for that dress and I obviously can't get that money back but at the same time, maybe I can help someone who is on a budget get an amazing wedding dress at a really good price.

What do you think? Should I sell it or keep it?

Let it live in a box until the day I die or help someone else's dream wedding come true?
I've attached some picture so you can see the dress (not amazing pictures as my wedding pictures on my work computer are pretty limited.
